We have been manufacturing and importing quality, custom designed, wood furniture for over 25 years. Atlantic Furniture offers a complete line of youth furniture including solid hardwood case goods. In addition we offer adult bedroom and accessories at competitive prices. Our current line includes high quality solid hardwood bunk beds, a Captain's Bookcase and a Mate's Bed in 3 finishes twin and full size. We have 11 styles of adjustable height platform storage beds that feature the Easy-Bed hook on rail system. To compliment the beds we carry 3 lines ofcase goods in 6 finishes. Our crib line is now available with 4 styles ready to ship. Our case goods feature solid hardwood construction and metal drawer glides. They ship fully assembled with Styrofoam packing. Our bunk beds are all solid hardwood. Safety is our number one priority with our bunks. We use a 14-piece slat kit for mattress support. Guardrails have 4 steel bolt reinforcements. Clip on ladder for safety with 6 steel reinforcement bolts. Upper and lower panels with 16 steel reinforcement bolts. Mortise and tenon joinery. All of our bunks can be separated to beds on the floor. Accessories include under bed storage drawers and trundle beds.
Our platform storage beds are adjustable height. Use the higher height for mattress only with under bed storage drawers or trundle, set it up low with the traditional mattress and foundation. Each platform bed includes a slat kit or slat support system with center supports for added durability. The headboard and the footboard are packaged separately and attach not only using our wood rails but they also attach directly to a metal bed frame. This gives you a variety of ways to buy a bed. Headboard ,only, headboard and footboard only or platform bed with wood rails. Eco-Friendly HardwoodAt Atlantic Furniture we pride ourselves on using Eco-friendly Hardwood. Otherwise known as the Rubber Tree, using these trees is economical and good for the Earth and here’s why: After 30 years, a decline in latex production has made only tapping rubber trees for their sap uneconomic. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burnt on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing or latex curing. The wood is now used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color and acceptance of different finishes. It is also prized as an “environmentally friendly” wood, since it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle and are always replaced with new seedlings.
Our Five Step Finishing ProcessEach product in our entire line is finished with a high build, five step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, (1) a wipe on sealer is applied. Once dry, a tinted sealer (2) is applied to even the grain and color of the wood. Next, another round of sanding before the first base color coat is applied (3). More sanding and the second base color coat is applied (4). Finally there is a final sanding and the finish coat is applied (5).This process produces a long lasting and durable finish that will last for years. Our innovative hook and pin system creates a strong, long lasting connection between the headboard and footboard. Two metal pins are embedded within the head and footboards at two positions making it easy to switch from upper height to lower height. Set the bed high for use with bed storage drawers or trundle bed or set it low for use with mattress and foundation. The photo just below has been digitally enhanced to show detail and the approximate location of the pins within the footboard. To set up your bed, simply connect the rail to the headboard and footboard.
